01. The Project.
Hiddn Marketing Ltd was contacted by realtalk. barbers and lifestyle store in Southport to create a new website for their thriving business. As one of the premium barbers in Southport they had a very specific brief and strict brand guidelines that they wanted to follow.
The website that they wanted to replace was built using Squarespace and as is so often the case, was failing to rank very well on search engines and was very expensive to keep online. I advise that WordPress would provide a great alternative and would turn out cheaper to host and give greater freedom for expansion in the long term.
02. The Approach.
Their approach to barbering is rooted in traditional concepts but with a contemporary feel. Mental health and wellbeing are at the heart of their ethos, offering in-house counselling sessions to any of their customers.
Having visited their incredible store on a number of occasions, the music and general vibe were important factors in the enjoyable grooming experience so there was no doubt that their Spotify playlist had to feature on the site.
It was also important, given the community experience and mental health aspect to have a blog about wellbeing, and links to their other social media. We decided to go one further and feature an Instagram feed as their gallery, allowing seamless updating of their website.

The client had an idea about what they wanted before they even spoke to us but with excellent communication, we were able to understand what they were wanting to achieve and refine their ideas without jeopardising the project’s integrity.
